What will your role be?
We are looking for a Senior FPGA Verification Engineer to perform the following activities:
- Verification and validation of FPGA and SoC solutions for embedded systems in the Defence and/or aerospace environment
- Planning, execution, and coordination of verification activities within complex development projects
- Verification of technical requirements and detailed specifications to ensure compliance of FPGA-based hardware architectures and control systems
- Development and execution of verification plans, test procedures, and test cases
- Performing functional, integration, and system-level verification of FPGA and SOC solutions
- Conducting FPGA simulations and debugging activities using industry-standard verification tools
- Strong proficiency in writing testbenches using both VHDL and SystemVerilog.
- Solid experience with verification methodologies and libraries such as UVM, OSVVM, UVVM.
- Performing PLD/FPGA design reviews to assess requirements, concepts, detailed designs, and verification results
- Analysis, documentation, and communication of verification and validation results
- Creation, review, and evaluation of safety concepts, safety analyses, and compliance documentation
- Supporting certification and qualification activities in accordance with aerospace standards and processes
- Collaboration within interdisciplinary development teams consisting of hardware, software, systems, and verification engineers
What are we looking for in you? Experience and competencies
- Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a comparable technical qualification
- Solid experience in the verification and validation of FPGA and SoC based systems
- Ideally, experience in Defence and/or Aerospace development environments
- Proven experience with FPGA and SoC technologies and corresponding development and verification tools (e.g. Microchip, AMD, Altera, Lattice)
- Strong knowledge of FPGA verification methodologies and simulation environments
- Experience with ModelSim/QuestaSim, Riviera-PRO, or comparable verification tools
- Experience with requirements-based verification, test planning, and verification reporting
- Experience with model-based development approaches and tools (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink) is an advantage
- Ideally, experience with FPGA verification for aerospace applications in accordance with ECSS
