FULL TIMEREMOTEPEOPLE & OPS$73K–83K/YR

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Employee Accommodations Manager based in United States.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR or employee accommodations professional to lead and enhance workplace accessibility initiatives within a dynamic, people-focused organization. In this role, you will oversee the design, administration, and continuous improvement of employee accommodation programs, ensuring compliance with applicable disability and employment legislation. You will manage complex accommodation cases, guide the interactive process, and work closely with employees, managers, HR teams, and legal professionals to develop effective workplace solutions. Acting as a trusted subject matter expert, you will provide strategic advice, support inclusive policies, and help minimize organizational risks. You will also contribute to building awareness through training, guidance, and best-practice development. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on employee well-being, accessibility, and organizational inclusion.

Accountabilities:

    • Lead and independently manage employee accommodation requests, including complex and sensitive cases, ensuring consistent and legally compliant decision-making.

    • Direct the interactive accommodation process, collaborating with employees, managers, HR partners, and legal teams to identify reasonable and effective workplace solutions.

    • Review and interpret medical documentation, assess functional limitations, and determine the feasibility of proposed accommodations, including approvals, denials, or alternative arrangements.

    • Ensure accommodation decisions comply with applicable disability legislation, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA), Section 504, and other relevant employment regulations.

    • Develop, implement, and continuously improve accommodation policies, procedures, templates, and documentation standards.

    • Serve as the primary subject matter expert and advisor to leadership and HR teams on employee accommodations, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and accessibility strategies.

    • Provide training, guidance, and practical resources to supervisors, managers, and departments on their legal responsibilities and best practices for workplace accommodations.

    • Promote a consistent, equitable, and inclusive approach to accommodation management across the organization.

    • Maintain accurate and confidential case records while ensuring ethical handling of sensitive employee and medical information.

    • Requirements:

      • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Social Sciences, Disability Studies, Special Education, or a related discipline.

      • At least 3–5 years of professional experience managing employee accommodations, disability services, or similar workplace accessibility programs.

      • Strong knowledge of disability-related employment legislation, particularly ADA, ADAAA, Section 504, and applicable accommodation requirements.

      • Demonstrated experience managing complex accommodation cases, conducting interactive processes, and assessing medical documentation and functional limitations.

      • Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and documentation frameworks that support regulatory compliance and consistent decision-making.

      • Experience providing consultative guidance to senior leadership, HR professionals, managers, and other internal stakeholders.

      • Strong case management, analytical, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.

      • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training facilitation abilities, with the confidence to navigate sensitive situations and influence stakeholders constructively.

      • High levels of discretion, confidentiality, ethical judgment, and attention to detail when handling sensitive employee information.

      • An equity-focused mindset and a genuine commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and fair workplace practices.

      • Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) and employee accommodation management platforms.

      • Experience in regulated environments or higher education institutions is an advantage.

      • Knowledge of assistive technology coordination and relevant HR or ADA certifications is considered a plus, although no certification is required.

      • Benefits:

        • Competitive annual salary: USD $73,000–$83,000.

        • Fully remote opportunity: Work remotely with flexibility in your working environment.

        • Generous paid time off: 22 days of paid vacation, 15 days of sick leave, 3 personal days, and 16 paid holidays annually.

        • Comprehensive healthcare coverage: Medical, vision, dental, and prescription insurance options for individuals and families.

        • Insurance protection: Access to term life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and long-term disability coverage, subject to eligibility.

        • Flexible Spending Accounts: Options to manage eligible healthcare and dependent care expenses.

        • Retirement planning: Access to retirement programs, including optional retirement plans and pension system participation.

        • Supplemental retirement options: Access to 401(k), 403(b), 457(b), and Roth retirement savings plans.

        • Tuition benefits: Tuition remission for eligible employees, with additional undergraduate tuition benefits for spouses and dependent children after two years of service.

        • Professional development: Opportunities for career growth, continued learning, and advancement within an established educational environment.

        • Inclusive workplace culture: Join a people-focused organization committed to accessibility, equal opportunity, and employee well-being.
