Success requires confidence in public speaking, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while staying connected with a wider team. The expected workload is approximately 8–15 hours per week.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will support outreach and education initiatives by connecting with employers and delivering engaging presentations about workplace assistance and wellness resources.

    • Conduct outreach to local employers and decision-makers to promote available employee assistance and workplace support services.

    • Deliver educational presentations and workshops to managers and employees at diverse worksites.

    • Facilitate both in-person and virtual sessions, adapting presentations to different audiences and workplace needs.

    • Build engagement with busy decision-makers through effective telephone communication and professional relationship management.

    • Develop a strong understanding of the program's services, employer resources, and available benefits to provide accurate and useful information.

    • Coordinate with team members while working remotely to ensure effective delivery of outreach and training activities.

    • Use email, file-sharing platforms, and video conferencing tools to organize activities and communicate with stakeholders.

    • Track, document, and report outreach, presentation, and workshop activities accurately.

    • Travel reliably to local worksites across the Addison and Chittenden County regions of Vermont when required.

    • Requirements

The ideal candidate brings administrative support experience, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to engage diverse audiences while managing responsibilities independently.

      • Meet one of the following minimum qualification pathways:

        • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of administrative-level support experience in a business or organization.

        • One year of full-time college-level study in accounting, business administration, public administration, office administration, or a related field, plus at least 2 years of administrative support experience.

        • Two years of full-time college-level study or an associate degree or higher in a relevant field, plus at least 1 year of administrative support experience.

        • Three years or more of full-time college-level study, or a bachelor's degree, in accounting, business administration, public administration, office administration, or a related field.

        • At least 1 year of experience as an Administrative Services Coordinator I within the relevant public-sector organization.

        • Demonstrate strong presentation and public-speaking abilities, with the confidence to engage managers, employees, and business decision-makers.

        • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to conduct effective outreach by phone.

        • Be comfortable collaborating with a team while working remotely and independently managing assigned activities.

        • Demonstrate proficiency with modern email, file-sharing, and video conferencing tools.

        • Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and activity reports.

        • Have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to local worksites for in-person presentations.

        • Be willing and able to learn program services and employer support resources in order to deliver accurate educational content.

        • Additional considerations:
