Electronics Design Engineer – Power Electronics (DC-DC Converters)

About the Role
We are looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Kraków and contribute to the development of innovative electronic solutions for automotive applications.
The role focuses primarily on the design, development, testing and validation of electronic circuits, with particular emphasis on DC-DC power supply converters, analogue and digital electronics, and microcontroller-based systems.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electronics design, circuit simulation and laboratory testing, combined with an understanding of automotive industry requirements and high-volume manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electronic devices and circuits for automotive applications, focusing on cost efficiency, high reliability and manufacturability.
Design and optimize DC-DC power supply converters.
Perform circuit calculations, simulations and electrical analyses.
Design, review and maintain electronic documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts and electrical specifications.
Develop, test and validate analogue and digital electronic circuits and prototypes.
Work with microcontroller-based systems, medium-power analogue circuits and signal measurement solutions.
Perform laboratory measurements, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards and the company's Electrical Design Process.
Participate in technical and peer design reviews.
Cooperate with local and international engineering teams.
Deliver assigned engineering tasks according to agreed schedules and quality requirements.
Continuously develop technical expertise and professional qualifications.
Protect confidential information and company assets.
Required Qualifications and Experience (Must-have)
Engineering degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
2–5 years of professional experience in electronics design and development.
Practical experience in designing and testing analogue and digital electronic circuits.
Hands-on experience with DC-DC converters and power supply design.
Knowledge of microcontroller-based systems, medium-power analogue circuits and signal measurement.
Practical experience with electronic CAD and circuit simulation tools.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
Professional integrity and a responsible approach to working with customers and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-have)
Master's degree in Electronics or a related engineering discipline.
Experience in automotive electronics development.
Knowledge of EMI/EMC requirements and experience in designing or optimizing electronic circuits for EMC compliance.
Experience with digital video interfaces, particularly serializer/deserializer (SerDes) technologies.
Experience with automotive product development processes.
Flexibility and availability to support business requirements when necessary.
Working Environment
Office and laboratory-based engineering work.
Hybrid working model with up to 1–2 remote days per week.
Collaboration with local and international engineering teams.
Hands-on involvement in electronics design, prototyping, testing and validation.
