Performing MRI exams and procedures on outpatients, inpatients, and children coming from the emergency department with a focus on patient safety. Job Summary: Performs a variety of standard and specialty Magnetic Resonance (MR) procedures with accuracy, utilizing radiofrequencies, time varying gradients and a high magnetic field, producing quality studies under a variety of conditions with little supervision. Apply the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care. Qualifications: Education High School Diploma/G.E.D. Radiology (required) And Program Graduate with successful completion from a certified MRI program, formal program in Radiologic Technology, or hospital-based program. (required) Or College Degree - 2 year MRI (or other Imaging related field) (required) College Degree - 4 year (preferred) Licenses and Certifications BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required) RT-MR - Rad Tech Magnetic Resonance Imaging - ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (required) Work Experience Minimum six (6) months MRI experience/School (required) Pediatric experience (preferred) Skills and Abilities Bilingual Skills Preferred.
