Helping Hands Ferny Grove is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Coordinator to join our growing Helping Hands service. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you’ll shape culture, drive quality, and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and your team.
This is a permanent, full-time role working across split shifts, Monday to Friday, including 8 hours of dedicated non‑contact administrative time to support your success.
⏰Service hours include:
- Rise Then Shine: 6:30am – 9:00am
- Stay and Play: 2:30pm – 6:00pm
- School Holidays: Block shifts between 6:30am – 6:00pm

About your new role
As a Coordinator, you’ll be leading a team of passionate Educators and overseeing an engaging before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. This role is all about leadership:
- Design and lead a vibrant, child‑centred program, filled with engaging experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts.
- Take ownership of rosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration, with time allocated to do this well.
- Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported, motivated, and proud of the program they deliver.
- Partner with families, the school community, and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
- Be supported by experienced Regional Managers and a dedicated Support Office so you’re never doing it alone.
Who are we looking for?

- A natural leader who enjoys guiding a team and helping others grow
- Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!)
- State working-with-children check
- Australian working rights
- National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
- QLD 2 Year Qualified - Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 2 Year Qualified Educator in QLD in accordance with ACECQA
