$1,000.00 retention bonus (1/2 paid at six months and remainder paid at one year) for new hires.
This position prepares patients for clinical encounters to include patient screening and collection of health history.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience
One year recent experience in direct customer service. Cultural competence in working with diverse populations required.
Essential Functions:
- Report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start working. Remain at work for their entire work schedule.
- Performs initial clinical interview and processing of patients that includes obtaining vital signs and a description of the complaint/reason for visit.
- Assesses, identifies and immediately reports abnormal vital signs to the appropriate clinician.
- Accurately and consistently enters patient data into electronic health records to include review of records for the appropriate clinical forms in accordance with the medical, clinical and nursing policies and procedures.
- Obtains the appropriate patient information, specimens, lab results, x-ray results and health history to prepare patient for the clinical provider.
- Performs basic laboratory functions including processing and packaging laboratory tests.
- Sets up and tracks referral appointments for patients.
- Performs clinical support duties on a daily basis as outlined in the appropriate shift checklist.
- Performs instrument cleaning, packaging and sterilization.
- Integrates work with other staff to ensure timely and accurate patient flow.
- Participates in continuous quality improvement activities.
- Complies with center’s policies and procedures.
- Utilizes specialized office equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
