About the role
We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to own the quality of our requirements and to confirm that what we deliver meets them. In our AI-assisted development process, clear and precise requirements matter more than ever: they are the starting point for our engineers, designers and AI tools, and the standard that every release is checked against.
You will work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, engineers, designers and QA. You will turn business intent into specifications that are unambiguous, testable and technically informed, and you will confirm at the end that the delivered result does what the business asked for.
What you will do
- Work with product owners and stakeholders to understand goals, users and constraints, and capture them as clear, complete and testable requirements.
- Write detailed specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria with enough precision that engineers, designers and AI tools can work from the same document without guessing.
- Share specifications with engineering and design at the same time, and facilitate joint sessions so that product concepts are shaped together.
- Work with the Senior Engineer to add technical detail to specifications, such as affected systems, data fields, integrations and edge cases.
- Define business rules, data flows, process diagrams and non-functional requirements (performance, security, compliance, auditability).
- Work with QA to make sure test scenarios trace back to the requirements, and review test results for completeness.
- Perform final acceptance: confirm that the delivered product meets the stated requirement, and record any gaps for follow-up.
- Use AI tools to draft, review and tighten requirements, check for ambiguity or contradiction, and keep documentation current. You are accountable for the accuracy of the result.
- Maintain a single, current source of truth for requirements, decisions and the reasons behind them.
What we are looking for
Essential
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst or similar, ideally on software products in a technical environment.
- Excellent written communication, with a record of producing requirements that development teams can build from with few clarifying questions.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, and the ability to spot gaps, ambiguity and conflicting requirements.
- Working technical understanding: APIs, databases and data models, system integrations, and how software is tested and released.
- Experience writing acceptance criteria and working with QA on test coverage.
- Comfortable facilitating conversations between business and technical stakeholders and resolving differences.
- Experience with Agile delivery and tools.
- Interest in AI tools and willingness to use them in everyday work, with good judgment about checking their output.
Nice to have
- Experience in financial services, fintech or another regulated industry.
- Ability to read Queries, API documentation or code at a basic level.
- Experience with process modelling (BPMN, UML or similar) and with data analysis.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma and with working alongside designers.
- Experience writing or reviewing test cases, or with behaviour-driven development.
- Exposure to data privacy and compliance requirements.
