Every individual is empowered to take ownership and make a meaningful impact. We strive for efficient and effective operations, and we hold each other accountable for delivering exceptional results. Here, you will find more than just a job—you will find purpose and pride. Your Role at Baxter As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will provide leadership and oversight for inspection and material release activities within a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment. You will guide a team of QA Inspectors, ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements, and partner closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to support operational excellence. Your success will be measured by the effectiveness of your team, the timely release of materials, audit readiness, quality performance metrics, and your ability to continuously improve processes that support both compliance and business objectives. What You'll Be Doing Lead the inspection, review, and release of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Supervise, coach, and develop QA Inspectors, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence. Plan and prioritize team workloads to support production schedules, material availability, and on-time product release objectives. Investigate quality events, nonconformances, corrective actions, and preventive actions to identify root causes and drive sustainable solutions. Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain inspection procedures, specifications, and quality systems that support compliance and manufacturing efficiency. Support internal audits, external inspections, and audit readiness activities while ensuring timely resolution of observations and action items. Analyze quality performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk, and enhance overall product quality. What You'll Bring Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Quality, Business, or a related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience; or 5-7 years of relevant quality experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree. 1-2 years of people leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience. Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), FDA regulations, and quality system requirements. Experience supporting quality inspections, material release activities, investigations, or quality assurance operations within a regulated environment. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels of the organization. Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biologics, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments. Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), auditing practices, and quality management systems. Experience supporting Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives. Knowledge of warehouse, quarantine, or material management processes. Familiarity with aseptic manufacturing techniques and environments. Experience serving as a subject matter expert and delivering training within quality operations. We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career.
