AI Engineer – E-Commerce & Marketing
Location: Remote – Latin America
Schedule: Full-Time, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on AI Engineer / AI Automation Developer who combines strong programming skills with experience in e-commerce and digital marketing.
The ideal candidate can develop AI-powered applications, intelligent agents, and automated workflows that improve marketplace performance, streamline marketing operations, and turn business data into actionable insights.
You will build and integrate technical solutions across platforms such as Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, Walmart Marketplace, eBay, and Newegg.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AI-powered workflows and internal tools that support marketplace and marketing operations
- Develop automated monitoring and reporting for listings, competitors, pricing, advertising, and performance metrics
- Integrate platforms and data sources through APIs (e.g., Amazon SP-API, Amazon Ads API, Google Sheets, BI tools)
- Use LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT/OpenAI) to analyze data, summarize findings, and recommend priorities
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, and define where human review remains essential
- Collaborate with marketing and e-commerce team members to understand their needs and turn them into practical solutions
- Document workflows and train teammates to use the tools you build
- Stay current on emerging AI tools and evaluate how they can improve our processes
Requirements
- Proven experience in AI development, software engineering, or automation programming.
- Strong knowledge of Python and/or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI models through APIs, including OpenAI or Claude.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and automated workflows.
- Practical experience in e-commerce, marketplace operations, digital marketing, or marketing technology.
- Familiarity with at least one major e-commerce platform, such as Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, Walmart Marketplace, or eBay.
- Understanding of e-commerce SEO, keyword research, product listings, and competitor analysis.
