The Opportunity Due to a strong pipeline of matters, we have an exciting and rewarding growth opportunity for a talented Senior Associate to join our growing Restructuring, Insolvency and Special Situations practice in Sydney. Working closely with partner and national head of the Restructuring & Insolvency practice, Katie Higgins and other senior practitioners within a nationally collaborative team, you will play a key role in acting for global financial institutions, listed and multi-national companies, financiers and insolvency practitioners. You will act on a range of high profile restructuring matters including complex receiverships and workouts, complex financing arrangements, distressed debt, special situations, and corporate insolvency. The multi-disciplinary nature of this practice gives you the opportunity to work with peers and partners in other teams across the firm. Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have: 5+ years' PQE gained within a leading commercial law firm; Excellent academic performance; Experience in transactional banking or finance, with a desire to pivot expand your skillset into restructuring, would be highly regarded; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to build client relationships and maintain a positive team environment; High quality and technically-sound drafting skills, with excellent attention to detail; A proactive and dedicated approach to client service, with strong time and project management skills; and Commitment to continuous learning in order to meet evolving client needs.
