Location/Division Specific Information: Jabil is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support our large-form-factor electronics manufacturing operation. This role is instrumental in driving product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across a complex, high-volume manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will serve as a key quality leader, partnering with customers, operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure compliance, improve performance, and strengthen the site's quality culture. How will you make an impact? As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing product quality, customer satisfaction, and manufacturing performance. You will lead quality initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements. Through strong leadership, technical expertise, and customer engagement, you will help deliver world-class products while advancing the site's Quality Management System and operational excellence objectives. What will you do? Lead quality engineering activities supporting new product introduction (NPI), production, and customer programs. Serve as the primary quality interface for customers, supporting audits, quality reviews, escalations, and issue resolution. Drive the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the site's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001, customer requirements, and industry standards. Lead investigations of customer complaints, internal nonconformances, and manufacturing defects using structured root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies. Develop and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve quality and reduce risk. Partner with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and program management teams to proactively identify and mitigate quality risks. Facilitate PFMEAs, control plans, process validations, inspection plans, and other quality planning activities for new and existing products. Analyze quality metrics and performance data to identify trends, drive improvements, and communicate results to leadership. Support internal, customer, and third-party audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings. Mentor and provide technical guidance to quality engineers and cross-functional teams on quality tools, systems, and best practices. Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical problem-solving methodologies. Support supplier quality activities including qualification, performance monitoring, and corrective action management. How will you get here? Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another related technical field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive Quality Engineering experience within electronics manufacturing, EMS, or another complex manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience working directly with customers to resolve quality concerns, lead audits, and manage quality performance. Strong experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS). Proven ability to lead cross-functional quality initiatives and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization. Experience utilizing quality tools and methodologies including FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, 5 Whys, CAPA, and root cause analysis. Experience supporting NPI, process validation, and manufacturing quality improvement initiatives. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Advanced knowledge of ISO 9001 and Quality Management System requirements. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities. Customer-focused mindset with excellent relationship management skills. Expertise in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Strong analytical and statistical problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. Experience driving continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong collaboration and communication skills across operations, engineering, supply chain, and executive leadership teams. Proficiency with quality metrics, reporting tools, and statistical analysis software. Preferred Qualifications: Experience within large-form-factor electronics manufacturing, complex electromechanical assembly, or high-mix/high-volume manufacturing environments. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent certification. Experience leading customer audits and regulatory compliance initiatives. Knowledge of supplier quality management and supplier development practices. Experience with advanced quality planning methodologies and Operational Excellence programs. Familiarity with customer-specific quality requirements in electronics manufacturing.
