Job Summary
Prep Academy Tutors is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable High School Math Tutor to provide personalized academic support to students in Grades 9–12.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide individualized mathematics instruction based on the Manitoba high school curriculum.
- Support students in understanding key mathematical concepts, improving problem-solving skills, and building confidence.
- Assist students with topics such as algebra, functions, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, and other high school mathematics courses.
- Develop and provide supplemental assignments, practice problems, and learning materials to reinforce classroom instruction.
- Provide remedial support to students who are struggling, as well as enrichment opportunities for students looking to excel.
- Help students prepare for quizzes, tests, exams, and major assessments.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for teachers or soon-to-be teachers who meet the following criteria:
- Strong knowledge of high school mathematics and the Manitoba curriculum.
- Experience teaching or tutoring high school mathematics is considered an asset.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping students succeed.
- Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a clear and approachable way.
- Committed to providing excellent customer service.
- Enjoy working with students and families.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

A Qualified Applicant Will Meet at Least One of the Following Criteria:
- You hold a registration in good standing with the Manitoba Teachers' Society.
- You are qualified to teach in a Canadian province or territory outside of Manitoba.
- You are qualified to teach in the United States.
- You are a current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education.
- You have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited Canadian university or college.
