SUMMARY Primoris Canada is seeking Journeyperson pipefitters to support a multiple long term projects at our fabrication shop in Acheson, AB. The project offers up to two years of work, providing long‑term stability for qualified tradespeople. This position involves supporting small-diameter pipe spools from 2” to 12”and fabricated assemblies. Anticipated Start Date: November 2026 Location: 17th ST, Edmonton Shift: 4x10s (Mon-Thurs. 6:00 am - 3:30 pm) with potential for overtime Hourly Rate: $46.66 (Exclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, RSP matching, education, and training.) JOB DUTIES Perform pipe fitting activities in a fabrication shop environment Fit pipe and components using Acorn, Spoolfab, and isometric drawings Assemble and align pipe spools, flanges, fittings, and valves Tack weld pipe components in preparation for welding Utilize jigs, fixtures, elbow jigs, and external clamps to ensure accuracy and repeatability Safely operate overhead cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment for material handling Verify dimensions, tolerances, and fit-up to meet project and quality requirements Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned work areas Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments Comply with all company, client, and OH&S policies and procedures Perform other fabrication-related duties as required QUALIFICATIONS Registered Alberta apprentice or journeyman Steamfitter/Pipefitter (AIT recognized) Valid CSTS-20 WHMIS Experience working in a fabrication shop preferred Overhead crane operation and rigging experience considered an asset Confined Space certification considered an asset Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive fabrication tasks Strong attention to detail, quality, and safe work practices Ability to work effectively in a team-based shop environment Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision BENEFITS Retirement Savings Plan Health and Dental Employee & Family Assistance Program Prescription Safety Glasses Reimbursement Program Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.
