SGS is looking for a commercially driven Technical Sales Specialist to join our Industrial Services team in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia.
In this role, you will drive business development and customer engagement for our industrial service offerings, including third-party inspection (TPI), non-destructive testing (NDT), and other relevant services. You will work closely with customers across the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Utilities and related industrial sectors to understand their technical requirements, identify business opportunities and deliver suitable service solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for industrial inspection, testing and related technical services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers across the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Utilities and industrial sectors.
- Understand customer requirements and coordinate with internal technical teams to provide suitable service solutions.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, respond to customer enquiries, and provide commercial and technical clarifications in coordination with relevant teams.
- Maintain regular customer engagement to strengthen existing business, improve customer coverage and secure repeat orders.
- Develop new accounts and expand SGS's presence within the Eastern Region.
- Work towards assigned sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.
- Coordinate with the Sales Manager on complex technical and commercial proposals while progressively developing the ability to manage opportunities independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales, industrial sales or business development, preferably within testing, inspection, certification or industrial services.
- Good understanding of the Saudi industrial market, particularly the Eastern Region.
- Exposure to Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Utilities, NDT, third-party inspection or related technical service sectors is highly preferred.
- Ability to understand customer requirements, coordinate technical proposals, manage quotations and drive sales opportunities.
- Strong customer relationship management, communication, negotiation and follow-up skills.
- Must be based in Saudi Arabia, preferably in the Eastern Region, with a valid Saudi driving licence.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits and business development activities.
