We are looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial EU Account Business Development Intern to support our commercial activities in Luxembourg.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in account management, business development, sales operations and client engagement within a leading consulting firm.
Your time will be divided between:
- 70% supporting the EIB Group account (EIB & EIF) and related sales activities
- 30% supporting business development and client prospection for private-sector accounts
You will work closely with Account Managers and Partners and contribute directly to the growth of Wavestone's business in Luxembourg.
What you will do
EIB Group Account Support (70%)
- Support the day-to-day commercial management of the EIB Group account
- Track opportunities, proposals and client interactions
- Maintain and update Salesforce and sales reporting dashboards
- Prepare account briefings, client presentations and meeting materials
- Coordinate internal follow-up actions with delivery and sales teams
- Support pitch preparation and client meetings
- Monitor key account activities and identify potential opportunities
Business Development & Prospection (30%)
- Research target organizations and market opportunities
- Identify and qualify prospective clients
- Support outreach campaigns and networking initiatives
- Contribute to pitch preparation and sales materials
- Conduct market and competitor research
- Support the development of the Luxembourg sales pipeline

We're looking for someone who:
- Is pursuing a Master's degree in Business, Economics, Political Science, European Studies, Marketing, Communication or a related field
- Has excellent English skills; French is considered an asset
- Has a strong interest in sales, business development and client relationship management
- Is interested in European institutions and the consulting sector
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is proactive, organised and detail-oriented
- Enjoys working with data, reporting and market research
- Is comfortable using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
Nice to have
- Previous internship experience in consulting, business development, sales, EU affairs or marketing
- Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM tools
- Understanding of the European institutional landscape
