Job Description JOB TITLE: Senior Manager, Financial Crime Screening Strategy & Capability SALARY: £85,493 - £100,580 LOCATION(S): Birmingham, Glasgow HOURS: Full-time WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. About This Opportunity What should financial crime screening look like tomorrow? Help us define it today. Financial crime screening is changing rapidly. New payment models, digital finance, artificial intelligence and automation are creating both new challenges and new possibilities. This role is about looking beyond today’s controls, anticipating what comes next and making sure we’re ready for it. As our Senior Manager, Financial Crime Screening Strategy & Capability, you’ll set the long-term direction for screening across the entire end-to-end process. From the controls and technology that underpin screening through to analytics, decision-making and operational delivery, you’ll define how the whole capability needs to evolve. At the heart of the role is a clear ambition: to create an agreed future screening strategy and capability roadmap, bringing together people, process, controls, data, technology and operations to turn emerging regulatory, industry and technology developments into tangible priorities for investment and change. You’ll: Define our future screening strategy and capability roadmap across the end-to-end process, ensuring technology, controls, analytics and operations evolve together and balance financial crime risk, customer experience, operational effectiveness, resilience and cost. Prepare us for the next generation of payments, defining how our end-to-end screening process needs to respond to digital finance, instant payments and increasingly shorter timescales for screening and decision-making. Set our future direction for analytics, artificial intelligence and automation, identifying where new technology can strengthen controls, improve decision-making and transform operational performance. Define the controls, capability standards and Target Operating Model we’ll need for the future, considering how screening should operate end-to-end. Build alignment around what comes next, working with senior leaders across payments, technology, risk and operations to agree future priorities, investment requirements and the sequence in which change should happen. Turn strategy into action, translating priority initiatives into clear, delivery-ready briefs with defined outcomes and measures so they can move into development and implementation. You’ll also bring the outside in, building relationships across the financial services industry and with technology providers to understand emerging trends, challenge our thinking and help ensure our screening capability continues to evolve. This is a role with genuine breadth and influence. You’ll have the opportunity to explore new ideas, challenge established approaches and help determine where we focus our investment as financial crime screening evolves. Why Lloyds Banking Group If you think all banks are the same, you’d be wrong. We’re an innovative, fast-changing business that’s shaping finance as a force for good. A bank that’s empowering its people to innovate, explore possibilities and grow with purpose. What You’ll Need Deep expertise in financial crime screening, including sanctions and the screening of politically exposed persons, with a strong understanding of evolving industry expectations and the end-to-end screening process, including operational delivery. A proven track record of shaping strategy and future capability, including roadmaps, innovation and organisational responses to industry change. Strong strategic leadership and influencing skills, with experience bringing senior stakeholders together across business, technology, risk and operations to create alignment and drive decisions. The ability to translate external developments and strategic direction into action, defining clear capability requirements, investment priorities, target outcomes and delivery briefs. And Any Experience of These Would Be Really Useful Defining future financial crime controls, capability standards or operating models at scale. Developing strategies for artificial intelligence, automation or advanced analytics to improve controls, decision-making or operational performance. Experience of digital finance, instant payments or other emerging payment technologies. Building external relationships through industry forums, peer organisations or technology providers and using those insights to inform strategy.
