  • Perform cost validation, benchmarking exercises, valuations, reconciliations, and cost audits.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify value engineering, cost optimization, and alternative delivery opportunities.
  • Review and analyze portfolio cash flow forecasts and earned value metrics.
  • Lead commercial risk management activities, including contingency analysis, cost risk assessments, commercial audits, and contract compliance reviews.
  • Assist with the proactive resolution of commercial issues, claims, and disputes to minimize project risk exposure.
  • Review project controls documentation and ensure alignment between scope, schedule, budget, and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular commercial reviews with project teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Produce monthly commercial and cost management reports.
  • Manage project financial closeout activities, including final account negotiations, vendor settlements, and contractual closeout compliance.
  • Maintain and enhance cost databases, historical benchmarks, and reporting tools to support future project planning.
  • Develop, manage, and be accountable for achievement of key commercial and financial performance metrics.
  • Mentor junior cost management professionals and support team development initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts and implementation of best practices across project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, delivery methodologies, governance standards, and client requirements.
  • Act as a role model who fosters a one-business culture and delivers exceptional outcomes for clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role and are to be adhered to where applicable.

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in cost management, quantity surveying, project controls, estimating, commercial management, or related construction roles.
