Class A OTR / Linehaul Driver Job Summary The Class A OTR Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight between terminals, hubs, and customer locations across assigned routes. This position involves 100% no-touch freight, with all drop-and-hook operations and no loading or unloading responsibilities. Drivers will primarily operate during evening and overnight hours, ensuring on-time movement of freight throughout the network while maintaining compliance with all DOT and company requirements. Key Responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial motor vehicles, including tractor-trailers, on regional and over-the-road routes. Transport freight between terminals, hubs, distribution centers, and customer locations according to assigned schedules. Perform required pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure safe vehicle operation. Conduct drop-and-hook trailer exchanges safely and efficiently. Verify trailer numbers, seals, and shipment documentation prior to departure and arrival. Follow all applicable DOT regulations, Hours-of-Service requirements, traffic laws, and company safety policies. Maintain accurate electronic logs, inspection reports, fuel receipts, and other required records. Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route status, delays, weather conditions, equipment issues, and other operational updates. Safely maneuver equipment in terminals, yards, truck stops, and customer locations. Promptly report accidents, traffic violations, mechanical issues, cargo concerns, and unsafe conditions. Maintain a clean, professional appearance and operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Ensure on-time service while delivering excellent professionalism and reliability.
