This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior II Site Reliability Engineer Lead based in India.

As a Senior II Site Reliability Engineer Lead, you will drive the reliability, availability, and performance of large-scale cloud infrastructure and distributed computing platforms. You will provide technical leadership while working closely with engineering, operations, and support teams to build resilient, scalable, and highly automated systems. The role combines hands-on infrastructure engineering, systems troubleshooting, automation development, and operational leadership. You will help shape product architecture and operational standards from the early stages of the development lifecycle. By leveraging modern cloud technologies, containerization, and observability solutions, you will continuously improve system performance and minimize operational risks. This is an opportunity to contribute to mission-critical infrastructure powering global digital experiences while mentoring engineers and driving technical innovation.

Accountabilities:

    • Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical direction, guidance, and mentorship to Site Reliability Engineering teams and project stakeholders, encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing, and engineering excellence.

    • Infrastructure Reliability and Availability: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of critical cloud infrastructure and Compute services, ensuring high availability, scalability, performance, and resilience.

    • Architecture and Operational Readiness: Define technical and operational requirements throughout the product lifecycle, influencing system architecture, engineering standards, deployment strategies, and production readiness.

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software engineering, infrastructure, operations, and support teams to design and implement reliable, scalable, and user-friendly platforms.

    • Automation and Tooling: Develop and enhance infrastructure automation tools and operational workflows to reduce manual effort, eliminate repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and optimize system performance.

    • Advanced Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues through proactive monitoring, systems programming, automation, and root cause analysis.

    • Identity and Access Management: Manage and continuously improve Compute identity and access management platforms, strengthening operational efficiency and accelerating incident detection and remediation.

    • CI/CD and Systems Engineering: Support reliable software delivery by improving automation pipelines, deployment processes, and infrastructure management practices.

    • Incident Management: Participate in on-call rotations, lead responses to critical incidents, coordinate resolution efforts, and implement improvements that prevent recurring disruptions.

    • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to strengthen monitoring, operational processes, system performance, and engineering practices across the platform.

    • Requirements:

      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

      • Significant hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering, infrastructure engineering, or software architecture within large-scale production environments.

      • Demonstrated technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers and coordinating cross-functional engineering initiatives.

      • Strong expertise in Linux system administration, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production infrastructure management.

      • Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as SaltStack, Terraform, and Ansible.

      • Practical experience with CI/CD platforms and automation tools, particularly Jenkins or CloudBees.

      • Strong knowledge of Docker-based environments, containerization technologies, and Kubernetes orchestration.

      • Experience optimizing application and infrastructure performance using technologies such as Redis.

      • Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and incident detection tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Sentry, and New Relic.

      • Knowledge of web proxies and traffic management technologies such as Nginx, Envoy, and HAProxy.

      • Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles, including Service Level Objectives (SLOs), availability targets, system resilience, and reliability engineering practices.

      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement sustainable solutions.

      • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, particularly when coordinating incident responses and working with multidisciplinary teams.

      • Ability to balance strategic technical leadership with hands-on engineering responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

      • Benefits:

        • Flexible Working Arrangements: Remote-friendly working model with the flexibility to work from home, an office, or a combination of both, depending on role requirements.

        • Health and Well-being: Employee benefits designed to support physical health, mental well-being, and overall quality of life.

        • Financial Well-being: Benefits and resources supporting employees' financial security and long-term planning.

        • Work-Life Balance: Support for personal commitments and life beyond work.

        • Professional Development: Opportunities to work with cutting-edge cloud, infrastructure, automation, and distributed computing technologies.

        • Technical Leadership: Exposure to large-scale engineering challenges and opportunities to influence architecture, operational standards, and platform strategy.

        • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside experienced engineering and technology professionals on mission-critical global infrastructure.

        • Career Growth: Opportunities to expand technical expertise, develop leadership capabilities, and contribute to innovative cloud and edge computing solutions.
