Hours Monday – Friday: 4/ten-hour shifts from 7am-5:30pm Day off will vary per week - No Call Overview The Heart and Vascular department at Sentara Careplex is a dynamic, high-performing team of 50 professionals including cardiovascular invasive technologists, registered nurses, electrophysiology specialists, and patient care staff. The unit averages 30 procedures per day across four specialized labs (Electrophysiology, Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology, and Vascular), leveraging their collective expertise to deliver exceptional cardiovascular care. The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly.
