Job Responsibilities Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, compliance gaps, and opportunities for improvement in EHS practices. Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing EHS policies, procedures, and training programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA). Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, determine root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Maintain accurate EHS records, including incident reports, training logs, inspection findings, and compliance documentation. Deliver EHS training to employees on topics such as emergency preparedness, hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaborate with various departments to integrate EHS considerations into operational processes, equipment design, and facility modifications. Participate in EHS committee meetings and actively promote a strong safety culture across the organization. Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend strategies for continuous improvement. Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste in compliance with environmental regulations. Stay current on new EHS regulations, industry best practices, and technological advancements to maintain compliance and program effectiveness. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant environmental and safety standards. Proven ability to conduct EHS inspections, audits, and incident investigations. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to train employees at all levels effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour General Industry, ASP, or CSP are a plus. Physical ability to perform duties that may include walking, standing, climbing, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
