FULL TIME
We are looking for a motivated and technically minded Assembly Technician to join our Build & Car Assembly team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the preparation, development and maintenance of high-performance car components and cutting-edge pit stop equipment. Working alongside our Race Team, T&D, Production and Quality departments, you will help ensure that every assembly meets the highest standards of performance, reliability and precision.
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for building, servicing and maintaining a wide range of specialist assemblies, ensuring everything is built to specification and ready when it matters most.
Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will support initial car builds, component development, testing programmes and race event preparation.

  • Build, service and maintain AMRF1 sub-assemblies to the required specification.
  • Build, maintain and develop specialist pit stop equipment, tooling and associated equipment.
  • Maintain accurate build and service records, ensuring full traceability within the businesses ISO9001 standards.
  • Identify, report and document faults and component care points to continually improve reliability.
  • Assist in the creation of build manuals and guides.
  • Carry out maintenance and servicing of rigs, tooling and test equipment.
  • Support component development, testing programmes and initial car builds.
  • Provide end-to-end technical support to the Race Team, ensuring assemblies are delivered on time and to specification.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across engineering, production, quality and race operations.
  • Assist with the training and development of new team members.
  • Attend company events and provide support to other departments when required.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, organisation, professionalism and workmanship.
  • Experience within motorsport or high-performance automotive engineering would be advantageous, but a passion for engineering and a willingness to learn are equally important.
  • Experience in mechanical assembly & engineering.
  • An experienced understanding of mechanical components, assemblies and engineering practices. Knowledge of manufacturing processes is advantageous
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings, Operational Procedures, Build Guides, and work to detailed specifications.
  • Strong practical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and pride in delivering work to the highest standards.
Investing in your career is paramount. We promote professional and personal development through a provision of learning opportunities and work with you to shape your career and realise your full potential.

As part of our high-performing, collaborative team, you'll enjoy a competitive package, including a discretionary bonus scheme, private healthcare, pension plan, life assurance, TEDSgroup childcare benefits, a cycle-to-work scheme, tech scheme, and car scheme.

You will also have access to our state-of-the-art facilities at the AMR Technology Campus, featuring a new on-site gym with fitness, spin and yoga classes, a bistro café, and restaurant.
