  • Coordinate with construction managers, inspectors, contractors, engineers, utility companies, and public agencies while working in the field.
  • Identify discrepancies between plans and existing field conditions and communicate issues to the appropriate project team members.
  • Assist with quantity measurements, progress surveys, and construction verification as required.
  • Ensure survey equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and secured.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure field activities comply with company and project-specific safety requirements.
  • Work in and around active construction zones, roadways, utilities, and other challenging field environments.
  • Travel to project sites throughout the region as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of professional land surveying or construction surveying experience, preferably within transportation, infrastructure, municipal, or heavy civil construction.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a survey field crew.
  • Strong understanding of surveying principles, field procedures, and construction layout.
  • Experience operating robotic total stations, total stations, digital levels, and GPS/GNSS equipment.
  • Experience with electronic data collectors and field survey software.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, construction drawings, survey plans, and specifications.
  • Strong mathematical, measurement, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and within active construction environments.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
