Job Title: Groundskeeper 2 Department: FAES | Wooster Campus Grounds Job Description Under general supervision from higher level groundskeeper or supervisor, provides labor and/or operates equipment necessary to accomplish tasks associated with maintaining the grounds of The Ohio State University Wooster Campus and Secrest Arboretum; mows and installs turf areas; plants, mulches, weeds, prunes trees, shrubs and flowers; assists in tree removal and timber stand improvement activities; applies pesticides and fertilizers; removes snow/ice from campus walkways and building entrances; operates and repairs grounds maintenance equipment; applicant required to obtain pesticide license within 12 months of employment; may require overtime work or work an adjusted schedule to meet peak seasonal labor load; works outside in all weather conditions. Position is located in Wooster, OH Pay range is $18.45 - $23.07 based on available budget, internal equity, and candidate experience. Minimum Education Required High school diploma or GED. Required Qualifications Valid driver's license. 6 months of experience grounds maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience; within 12-month employment, chosen candidate must pass and maintain current required Ohio pesticide operator's license. Desired Qualifications: Courses or degree in grounds maintenance or landscaping and experience in landscaping and grounds maintenance.
