Our long term client relationship with NASA has lead to a need for an early-career Safety and Environmental Health Engineer to support the Amentum JETS II Contract offsite and on-site activities at the Johnson Space Center. The Safety Engineer will: Serve as an active member of a high-performing safety team, providing safety support across the contract. Mentor management and employees, assist with procedure development, and review technical documents to ensure all requirements are met. Utilize innovating and engaging techniques and technology platforms for proactive employee engagement in the safety program. Identify, assess, and communicate hazards, causes, and effects within industrial and aerospace test environments. Provide operational guidance to implement safe, environmentally responsible work practices and operational solutions. Independently analyze systems, equipment, and procedures, recommending safety criteria to control or eliminate hazards. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, Johnson Space Center, and applicable state and local regulations. Conduct compliance audits to verify organizational adherence to requirements.
