The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding bar service, crafting high-quality beverages, and creating memorable guest experiences that reflect the elegance and reputation of The Park Hotel Kenmare.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages including cocktails, wines, spirits, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks to the highest standards.
- Provide warm, attentive, and professional service to guests in line with the hotel’s luxury hospitality standards.
- Maintain expert knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and bar menu offerings.
- Offer recommendations and engage guests to enhance their overall experience.
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and fully stocked at all times.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor and manage bar inventory, including restocking and reporting shortages.
- Handle cash, card payments, and billing accurately.
- Work collaboratively with the restaurant and hotel team to ensure seamless service.
- Uphold responsible service of alcohol guidelines.
- Contribute to the creation of new cocktails and seasonal drink menus when required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a bartender in a high-end bar, hotel, or restaurant environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, and wines.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
- Professional appearance and demeanour.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices.
