Minimum Requirements. • Namibian citizen; • B.Com degree or equivalent qualification as a minimum mandatory requirement; • 3 – 4 years relevant experience in risk management ideally in the financial services industry; • Relevant risk management certifications shall be an advantage; • Strong technical skills; • Flawless command of the English language; • Assertive self-starter with excellent communication, organisation and presentation skills; • Excellent conflict handling skills; • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high service levels; and • A team player. Job Specification: • Drive full compliance with the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Risk Policy to ensure effective risk management by: ➢ Providing guidance and training to OMFIN on Risk Methodology and systems; ➢ Proactively engage in the identification and management of Risks, Controls, Actions, Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Risk Events, and timely risk reporting and escalation; and ➢ Ensuring ongoing use and improvement of data captured on ERM system, as well as identifying and implementing improvements to the quality of reporting on ERM system; • Perform monitoring and assurance of Controls, KRI’s, Risk Events and Management Actions; • Ensure readiness for and the successful completion and reporting of quarterly OMFIN Risk Review sign-offs; • Review and provide inputs to the annual review of the Old Mutual Holdings (Namibia) (Proprietary) Limited (OMHN) Risk Strategy; • Manage and embed Financial Risk Management aligned to the OMHN Financial Risk Management Framework; • Monitor and report on Financial Risk Management activities; • Assist with the process of Risk Policy adoption and embedding; • Ensure Risk Policy checklists/adoption templates remain updated and are completed annually as a compliance rating assessment tool; • Ensure awareness creation of applicable OMFIN Risk Policies, where required; • Perform monitoring and reporting on OMFIN Management Actions and compliance ratings relating to Risk Policies; • Assist in the timeous and accurate submission of annual Letter of Representation and attestation process; • Maintain the Risk Policy repository; • Provide process assurance on key business areas identified on an ad hoc basis within OMFIN; • Ensure high quality and timely reporting on above functions to various OMFIN platforms. • Prepare reports and present feedback on all risk and governance matters in monthly business forums, OMFIN Executive Committee (Exco), as required from time to time; • Prepare the necessary risk reports to the OMHN Group Risk and Compliance Manager for onward reporting to Old Mutual Namibia Exco and/or the OMHN Board or its subsidiaries and/or other group functions; and • Perform other ad hoc tasks relating to risk and assurance as is required from time to time in OMFIN. na Skills Compliance Software, Data Compilation, Engineering Standards, Legal Practices, Management Reporting, Oral Communications, Policies & Procedures, Presenting Solutions, Professional Presentation, QA Methodologies, Regulatory Compliance Management, Requirements Development Competencies Action Oriented Balances Stakeholders Financial Acumen Instills Trust Interpersonal Savvy Manages Complexity Optimizes Work Processes Persuades Education NQF Level 7 - Degree, Advance Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate or equivalent Closing Date 20 November 2026 , 23:59 The Old Mutual Story!
