If you are a customer focused Heavy Duty Mechanic (with Red Seal endorsement); looking for stability and career growth APPLY TODAY! • Wage: $55.28 - $61.42 (base rate + regional wage allowance) • $2.55 Remote Mine Premium • $3.25 Night Shift Premium • Double Time OT • Shift: 14 x 14 - 15 additional scheduled weeks off a year! • Travel & Accommodation Support: Up to $1,000 travel allowance per rotation • Paid Time Off in Year 1 • Employer paid pension • Employee Share Purchase • 100% Employer paid medical and dental benefits • CAT certified training: Additional certifications and skill development paid for by Finning Job Description: Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment Field diagnosis and running repairs of CAT Equipment in an active mine environment Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes) and maintaining clear customer communication Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required Qualifications: Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic/(HET) Certification Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract (5 Yr) 10+ Years Off Road Mechanical Experience Recommended Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail Previous repair experience on the Caterpillar mining and general line product lines would be considered an asset Important Detail: This position is located out of our Mt Milligan mine site on a 14x14 continuous shift rotation A condition of employment includes the ability to obtain Customer Site Access (includes Drug & Alcohol testing, criminal background check and Fitness assessment) and the ability to wear a respirator Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position.
