Location: Erickson Senior Living We're seeking an experienced and driven Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations and guide a high-performing team of payroll professionals at our Catonsville, Maryland home office. In this key leadership role, you will oversee end-to-end payroll administration while championing process improvements, operational efficiencies, and service excellence. The ideal candidate brings deep full cycle payroll expertise specific in a Workday platform, strong leadership skills in managing a team of payroll professionals, and a passion for delivering accurate, compliant, and employee-focused payroll solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. How you will make an impact: Lead the day-to-day operations of the Payroll team, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing Train, and develop Payroll staff, providing ongoing coaching and performance management Oversee all payroll activities, including regular and off-cycle payments, audits, and issue resolution Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and stay current on regulatory changes Manage payroll reconciliations, reporting, and analysis, including ad hoc data requests Drive process improvements and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and standard operating documentation Support payroll systems, including upgrades, testing, and technical enhancements Collaborate cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners What you will need: Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role Full cycle payroll experience using Workday platform is required Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and HRIS systems This position is onsite in Catonsville, Maryland and requires someone to be in the office 4 days and 1 day remote.
