HR Recruiter.

PEOPLE & OPS
Job Description Are you an organized, resourceful, and service-oriented HR professional who enjoys connecting people, coordinating details, and making hiring processes run smoothly? Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a proactive and collaborative HR Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. This position plays an important role in supporting recruitment activities across the university, partnering with hiring managers, HR colleagues, and candidates to deliver an efficient, organized, and positive hiring experience. This is not a traditional full-cycle recruiting position. Rather than independently managing searches from beginning to end, you will support recruitment functions throughout the entire hiring process, from job postings and candidate engagement to interview coordination, hiring activities, and onboarding support. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of details, anticipates needs, and enjoys finding solutions. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful hiring initiatives while helping Embry-Riddle attract talented professionals who support our mission. What You'll Do Support Recruitment and Hiring Activities Partner with hiring managers and HR colleagues to understand staffing needs and support recruitment strategies. Assist with creating and posting job advertisements that attract qualified candidates. Support candidate sourcing, outreach, application reviews, and initial screening activities as needed. Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, scheduling, and hiring-related activities. Assist with reference checks, background screening coordination, and onboarding activities. Help ensure a consistent, professional, and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Keep Recruitment Operations Running Smoothly Maintain accurate recruitment records, applicant tracking information, and hiring documentation. Monitor recruitment activities and follow up on outstanding items to keep hiring processes moving forward. Serve as a resource for hiring managers and candidates, providing guidance and assistance throughout the process. Collaborate with HR team members to support university recruitment priorities and ensure compliance with applicable employment policies and regulations. Contribute to Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve communications, and enhance the overall recruitment experience. Assist with recruitment reporting, data tracking, and hiring metrics. Stay informed about recruitment trends, technology, and best practices. Support recruitment initiatives, special projects, and improvements that strengthen HR service delivery. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, Psychology, or a related field. At least 2–3 years of related Human Resources experience. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and service-oriented approach. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate effectively with a team. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, recruitment technology, or HR information systems. Understanding of employment practices and applicable employment regulations. Preferred Qualifications SHRM-CP certification. Experience supporting recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR operations in a complex organization. Experience with Workday or similar HR technology. Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and solve problems proactively. What Will Make You Successful We're looking for someone who brings more than just recruitment knowledge. You'll be successful in this role if you: Take initiative: You anticipate what needs to happen next and follow through without needing constant direction. Stay organized: You can manage multiple searches, deadlines, and moving pieces without losing sight of the details. Find solutions: When challenges arise, you investigate, ask thoughtful questions, and identify practical next steps. Communicate with confidence: You provide clear, timely updates and know when to seek clarification or escalate concerns. Adapt and collaborate: You welcome feedback, remain composed when priorities shift, and enjoy supporting a team. Care about the experience: You understand that every interaction with a candidate or hiring manager reflects the university and the HR team's commitment to service.
