Job Summary Assemble wood cabinets from engineering drawings, utilizing a variety of different tools and equipment. What a Day in the Life of a Cabinet Maker Looks Like: Fabricating and installing cabinet components and hardware. Marking outlines or dimensions of parts according to blueprints or drawing specifications. Cutting 45-degree miters on aluminum and anodized trim. Adhering laminate to the substrate with contact adhesive. Final assembly of parts and hardware. Required Education, Skills, and Experience to Be Successful: Experience in cabinet making, assembly, and installation. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layouts with written and verbal instructions. Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements. Ability to use hand tools and power tools, such as drills, screw guns, power saws, table saws, band saws, and miter saws. Ability to work from ladders and scaffolding. Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance. Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions. Ability to work in a team environment. Successful completion of drug and background screening. High school diploma or GED preferred.
