Find your calling at Mercy! The vEEG Monitoring Technologist provides real-time monitoring of multiple continuous EEG recordings. This role is responsible for identifying, documenting, and communicating seizures, status epilepticus, clinical events, and other significant abnormalities. The technologist collaborates closely with virtual and bedside care teams to support timely patient care while upholding organizational mission, values, and service standards Position Details: Minimum Qualifications: ** Must live within 50 miles of Mercy Site ** Education: Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology program or equivalent training pathway. Experience: Two (2) years’ experience in a clinical EEG setting Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. Preferred Qualifications: Experience: Two (2) years’ experience in a clinical EEG setting Skills: Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in fast-paced clinical environments. Effective communication and collaboration skills using tools such as Microsoft Teams and Epic Secure Chat. Ability to work independently in a remote setting. Transforming the Health of Our Communities Our Mercy health system was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986. But our heritage goes back more than 195 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine McAuley, who was determined to help women and children in Dublin experiencing poverty. Though Catherine had a modest upbringing, she received an unexpected inheritance that allowed her to fulfill that dream. In 1827, she opened the first House of Mercy in Dublin, intending to teach skills to women and educate children. Many volunteers came to help.
