  • Execute tests using specialized fixtures and equipment
  • Write clear, detailed work instructions that are easy to follow
  • Use software tools to test, track, and share production data with teammates
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building aerospace-grade or similar high-precision products

  • Good understanding of production safety, 5S, and quality control
  • A track record of meeting deadlines while maintaining exceptional workmanship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610
  • Experience with UAV-specific assembly and maintenance
  • Machine shop tooling experience
  • Knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology
  • Familiarity with autopilots, companion computers, and dynamic electromechanical systems
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.

  • Stand, sit, or work at a bench for extended periods
  • Frequently lift, carry, and position aircraft, batteries, components, and fixtures weighing up to approximately 50 lbs; occasionally more with assistance
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach to assemble, inspect, and test aircraft and equipment, as well as perform repetitive motions
  • Use hand tools, soldering equipment, and precision instruments for tasks requiring manual dexterity and fine motor control
  • Sufficient near visual acuity to inspect small components, solder joints, and wiring
  • Work safely around lithium-ion batteries, soldering equipment, and powered tools, following ESD and safety procedures

Benefits

At Matternet, we’re advancing a new era of logistics, one where autonomous drones deliver what matters faster, cleaner, and more efficiently. We know our mission is challenging, but it's worth it, and we are committed to taking care of the people who make it possible.
