Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide personal care and support with activities of daily living for patients in their homes and care facilities throughout the Westchase, Odessa, and Carrollwood/Northdale (Tampa) areas. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM), serving patients and families throughout the community with compassionate, high-quality hospice care. What you'll Do The provision of hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living. Assisting patients with taking medications that are ordinarily self-administered and have been pre-poured as designated in the Plan of Care. Hospice Aides must report changes in the patient's medical, nursing, rehabilitative, and social needs to a registered nurse, as the changes relate to the plan of care. Hospice Aide must document the changes and to whom they were reported to. Following a patient’s death collaborates with primary RN/Counselor and participates as needed in closure contact with family/caregivers. Why Join Empath Health? What You’ll Need Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training preferred. Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License). Valid Florida State Driver’s License For field-based positions, employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion.
