We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join Tech Trading FX/MM and help drive our accelerated FX agenda. Our department is part of Technology Trading and consists of around 60 professionals delivering development and maintenance for FX trading. We operate in a fast-paced environment where time-to-market, stability, and quality are critical to business success.
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team with approximately 12-16 employees within Tech Trading FX, combining leadership, technology, business understanding, and helping the team reach their full potential.
You will:
- Drive the technical agenda, roadmap and debt in close collaboration with the Tech Lead and Product Owner
- Coach and develop engineers, strengthening both technical excellence and team performance
- Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure alignment between solutions and client needs
- A key part of the role is to actively drive the adoption of modern technologies including cloud-native solutions, automation, and AI.
- Identify opportunities where modern technologies create business value
- Encourage experimentation, curiosity and learning in the team
- Lead the evolution of ways of working, tools, and engineering practices
You are an experienced leader with a strong technical background, ideally having worked as an Engineering Manager with direct reports or in a similar leadership position for several years.
- A hands-on understanding of modern software development
- Leadership experience with a focus on coaching and empowerment
- A strong interest in financial markets (FX knowledge is a merit)
- You are curious, forward leaning, and comfortable operating in a changing environment. More importantly, you actively drive change.
- Have a strong interest in modern technologies, agentic engineering, and AI.
- Inspire your team to explore, experiment, and adopt new ways of working
- See continuous learning and innovation as a natural part of building a high-performing team
- Are fluent in English and have strong communication skills. Being comfortable in speaking Swedish is a plus.
- Build trust and strong relationships with stakeholders
- Take accountability and drive initiatives forward

This is not a traditional management role. You will play a key role in shaping how modern engineering, AI, and automation are applied within FX both at team level and across the department.
