Who We Are Looking For
The SAP Commerce Cloud Architect is the long-term technical lead and trusted partner for our customers. Starting from AMS engagements, the role acts as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for multiple SAP Commerce Cloud customers, evaluates and resolves complex bugs as architect, and assesses and leads enhancement projects and change requests. Beyond technical excellence, the role builds and sustains long-term customer relationships across the portfolio.
Act as SPOC for several customers, starting from their AMS engagements: primary contact for business and IT stakeholders, escalations, service reviews, and steering
committeesBuild and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with each customer; understand their business, roadmap, and pain points and proactively propose improvements.
Analyze, assess, and resolve complex bugs and escalations (L3), including root cause analysis and sustainable fixes
Assess and shape change requests and enhancements: solution options, effort estimation, risks, and impact; align scope and expectations with the respective customer.
Lead enhancement and further development projects across customers end-to-end: planning, delivery, quality, and stakeholder communication
Ensure architectural quality, performance, and SAP best practices across AMS and project work
- Lead and coordinate the distributed L2/L3 support and development team; ensure stability, monitoring, and SLA adherence
- Collaborate with DevOps, functional teams, and Evora account and delivery management
- Drive continuous service improvement and the smooth transition between AMS and project work
What You Bring
- B.E./ B.Tech (Computer Science, Information Science, Electronics and Communication) OR MCA/M.Tech (Computer Science)
- 10-15 years in Java-based enterprise applications
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris)
- Solid background in AMS / application support as well as in project delivery (enhancements, change requests)
- Proven architect experience: solution design, effort estimation, and analysis of complex issues
- Experience leading technical teams and/or projects
- Customer-facing experience as SPOC, trusted advisor, or similar, ideally for several customers in parallel: stakeholder management, workshops, service reviews
- Strong knowledge of:
- Java, Spring, REST APIs
- SAP Commerce extensions, impex, order management
- Integrations with SAP ERP and third-party systems
- Headless / API-first commerce
- Experience with Agile / Scrum setups
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communicator in English, able to explain complex topics to technical and business audiences
- Ownership mindset, relationship-oriented, able to balance priorities across customers, proactive, and quality-focused
