About the Job

We are seeking for an experienced Application Owner & Production Operations Lead to join our fast-growing subsidiary ODS SA, member of Piraeus Group.

The Application Owner & Production Operations Lead combines end-to-end application ownership with production operations coordination, ensuring that the ODS platform is well understood, properly configured, well documented, and reliably operated in production.

The role acts as the central operational owner of the platform, coordinating support, incidents, releases, and business changes across internal teams and external partners. It combines functional ownership with production governance and is expected to evolve into leading a broader Application Operations function as the platform scales.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the end-to-end functional and operational owner of the ODS platform, including its bank-specific configurations and customizations.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of business processes, business rules, application configurations, integrations, and platform behavior across environments.
  • Own application configurations and ensure that changes are properly assessed, documented, controlled, and implemented across environments.
  • Coordinate day-to-day production support and major incident response, perform initial incident assessment and triage, and drive timely resolution through the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate release readiness and production deployments in collaboration with QA, engineering, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Own and maintain application documentation, user manuals, operational procedures, runbooks, and training materials.
  • Oversee production health, identify operational risks, and proactively drive reduction of recurring operational issues.
  • Serve as the primary functional and operational point of contact for internal stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (MSc, BSc).
  • 4-5 years of relevant professional experience in Application Ownership, Application Management, Production Operations, Business Systems, or IT/Application Support roles.
  • Previous experience working in enterprise-scale or regulated environments, ideally within banking, financial services, or fintech.
  • Proven experience coordinating production incidents, application changes, releases, and cross-functional delivery activities.
  • Good understanding of application configuration management, production support processes, and IT Service Management (ITSM) practices.
  • Ability to investigate application issues and support root-cause analysis using logs, APIs, and basic SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with delivery, collaboration, and ticketing tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business and application-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across business, technology, and external partner teams.
  • A strong sense of accountability, ownership, and initiative, combined with a structured and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
