As a Dental Assistant, you’ll work closely with our clinicians and wider practice team to help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while providing excellent patient care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting our dentists during a range of dental procedures
- Providing chairside support and helping patients feel comfortable throughout their treatment
- Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and materials for procedures
- Sterilising instruments and maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control
- Ensuring clinical areas are clean, organised and ready for patients
- Supporting the wider practice team with general duties as required
- Helping create a welcoming and positive experience for our patients
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or within a similar clinical environment
- A friendly, professional and caring approach to patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work well as part of a busy and supportive team
- A proactive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Current New Zealand work rights
