About FRP Cyprus

FRP Cyprus is a rapidly growing professional services firm providing Audit, Accounting, Tax, Advisory, Restructuring and Transaction Services. As part of the wider FRP Group, we deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions across a broad range of industries and jurisdictions.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an ambitious and technically strong Audit Manager to join our Audit team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced audit professional looking to take on greater responsibility, contribute to the development of the Audit practice and progress their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.

The Role

As an Audit Manager, you will take a leading role in the delivery and management of audit and assurance engagements across a diverse client portfolio. You will be responsible for managing engagements from planning through to completion, maintaining strong client relationships, leading and developing audit teams and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work in accordance with applicable professional standards.

Working closely with Senior Managers and Partners, you will also contribute to the continued development and growth of the Audit practice, including resource planning, quality management, client development and the identification of new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of local and international clients.
  • Take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and the firm's quality management procedures.
  • Review audit working papers, key judgements, risk assessments and audit conclusions, ensuring that significant matters are appropriately identified, addressed and documented.
  • Review statutory financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Identify key audit and business risks and develop appropriate audit responses.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships with management and other stakeholders.
  • Lead, supervise, coach and develop audit associates and senior associates, providing effective feedback and supporting their professional development.
  • Manage engagement budgets, deadlines, resource allocation and overall engagement performance.
  • Liaise with Senior Managers and Partners on significant audit, accounting and client matters.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing development of firm-wide quality management and compliance procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of existing client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services and new business.
  • Participate in internal initiatives aimed at improving audit quality, efficiency, technology and working practices.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the Audit team and the wider FRP Cyprus business.
  • ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant external audit experience.
  • Demonstrable experience managing audit engagements from planning through to completion.
  • Strong experience supervising, reviewing and developing junior and senior audit team members.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex audit and accounting matters, escalating significant issues where appropriate.
  • Strong client management and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to deal directly with senior client personnel.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements, teams and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the Cyprus business environment and regulatory framework would be considered an advantage.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and remuneration package, reflecting the candidate's experience and qualifications.
  • Performance-related bonus scheme.
  • A supportive working culture with reasonable working hours, including during the traditional audit busy season, promoting a sustainable work-life balance.
  • Professional development and continuous training opportunities.
  • Clear opportunities for further career progression within a growing international professional services group with a strong UK presence.
  • Opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of local and international clients.
  • Greater responsibility and direct exposure to Senior Managers and Partner.
  • The opportunity to be part of FRP Group plc, a leading UK-listed specialist business advisory firm, providing access to international expertise, resources and career development opportunities.
