AECOM’s Water Business Line in Buffalo, NY is seeking a talented Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern to work in the water/wastewater group.

This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2027.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the water group by preparing design drawings, plans, technical reports, and details for various water/wastewater projects.
- Internships are designed to introduce and build essential hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
- Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.
Minimum Requirements:
- Candidates must pursue a bachelor’s degree in environmental/civil engineering or in another related field and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have graduated with a bachelor’s degree and are currently or planning to continue with their master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Graduates not pursuing a master’s degree must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completed university courses in water (Fluid Mechanics, Water Resources, Hydrology, Environmental Chemistry).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.
- Relocation and housing assistance is not available for this position.
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
