Director, Lending Solutions & Financial Risk Analytics – EMEA.

LEADERSHIPFINANCE & LEGAL
About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 13 The Team: The Market Intelligence division at S&P Global delivers essential data, insights and technology solutions to the global financial community. Within this division, our Lending Solutions and Financial Risk Analytics teams help banks, private credit firms, asset managers and other financial institutions address complex challenges across lending, loan administration, risk management, pricing and analytics. The Impact: As a Senior Sales Specialist, you will drive sustainable revenue growth and expand our presence across Europe by delivering high-impact software, analytics and managed-service solutions. You will develop new business, deepen strategic client relationships and lead complex enterprise sales cycles involving senior business, risk, technology and operations stakeholders. Operating at grade 13, you will exercise independent judgment within your area of responsibility, take an end-to-end view of client and commercial challenges, and connect your day-to-day activities with the organization’s priorities and wider objectives. Your ability to build trusted advisory relationships, communicate complex information clearly and identify opportunities for improvement will contribute directly to the team’s commercial success. What’s in it for You: You will represent industry-leading lending and financial risk analytics solutions while working with senior decision-makers at major financial institutions across Europe. The role offers broad exposure to the evolving lending and private credit markets, together with opportunities to shape account strategy, influence go-to-market activity and collaborate with colleagues across product, pre-sales and client experience teams. You will join a collaborative global environment that supports professional growth, continuous learning and innovation. The role also provides opportunities to share your expertise, coach colleagues and contribute to initiatives that improve how the wider business operates. Responsibilities: Own and deliver against an agreed sales quota by identifying, developing and closing new business opportunities with financial institutions across Europe. Develop and expand strategic client relationships, building trusted partnerships and identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the Lending Solutions and Financial Risk Analytics portfolios. Lead complex enterprise sales cycles from qualification through to close, engaging senior stakeholders across business, risk, technology and operations. Translate complex client requirements into clear and compelling value propositions tailored to different stakeholders and decision-makers. Partner effectively with product, pre-sales, client experience and other internal teams to develop compelling client solutions and align go-to-market strategies with client requirements. Maintain rigorous pipeline and account-planning discipline, using market insights to identify growth opportunities and provide accurate and timely forecasts. Take an end-to-end approach to resolving commercial challenges, balancing client needs with sustainable commercial outcomes. Contribute to broader team initiatives, share expertise with colleagues and identify opportunities to improve sales processes and execution. All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week. What We’re Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 10+ years of experience in quota-carrying sales, ideally selling enterprise software, data, analytics or technology solutions to financial institutions. A proven track record of developing new business, delivering sustainable revenue growth and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets. Demonstrated experience managing complex enterprise sales cycles and expanding strategic relationships with financial institutions across Europe. Strong working knowledge of lending, private credit, loan administration or financial risk analytics. Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior business, risk, technology and operations stakeholders. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-management skills, with the ability to explain complex solutions clearly to different audiences. Strong emotional intelligence and active-listening skills, with the resilience to remain focused through setbacks and the adaptability to make sound decisions in complex or non-routine situations. A collaborative and accountable approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities, deliver high-quality work to deadlines and connect individual activity to team goals and wider organizational priorities. Fluency in English. We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer. Additional Preferred Qualifications: Additional European language skills, particularly French or Spanish. Experience selling Software-as-a-Service, analytics or managed-service solutions to private credit firms, asset managers or other institutional financial services clients. The ability to apply external market trends and client insights to account strategies, identify new growth opportunities and propose creative commercial solutions. Experience sharing professional expertise, coaching colleagues and contributing to process improvements or wider team initiatives.
