As an M&P engineer, you will define engineering requirements to develop, select, or recommend parts, materials, processes, manufacturing technologies, machinery, tools, and automation systems used in product design and manufacturing in accordance with contractual and regulatory obligations. Additionally, you will qualify new materials, parts and processes to meet requirements and manage test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements. You will conduct analysis to characterize performance or determine reasons for failure of tools, materials, parts or processes to drive subsequent corrective or preventative actions. M&P engineers are responsible for using project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements while incorporating environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry 2+ years of experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications Experience working with composites and/or composite manufacturing Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in a materials and processes engineering environment Experience with aerospace composites technology Experience with composite part and/or material qualification Experience working with suppliers associated with an engineering production system Problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
