Job Description The Technology Consultant is a trusted technical advisor who helps customers accelerate their journey from Automation to Autonomy. You will combine expertise in industrial automation, control systems, software, industrial networks, cybersecurity, cloud-connected architecture, data platforms, and latest AI-enabled workflows. Working in a pre-sales and consultative role, the Technology Consultant supports customers, partners, distributors, and Rockwell Automation sales teams in designing, validating, and adopting modern automation solutions. You will help customers improve productivity, reliability, cybersecurity, sustainability, workforce effectiveness, and operational performance. The Technology Consultant is not only a product and technology expert, but also a strategic advisor who helps customers evolve from traditional automation systems toward more connected, and eventually autonomous operations. This reflects the Technology Consultant role as a technical expert supporting customers, sellers, distributors, product demonstrations, proof of concept work, architecture discussions, and technology adoption. Your Responsibilities: Customer & Sales Support Technical Consulting & Architecture Guidance Enable Modern Engineering Workflows AI, Cloud, Data & Autonomous Operations Advisory Demonstrations, Proof of Concept & Technical Validation Industry, Application & Competitive Expertise Partner, Distributor & Ecosystem Enablement Apply industrial IoT, Docker, and latest Agentic AI technologies to demonstrate practical manufacturing use cases and value The Essentials - You Will Have: Bachelor's Degree Native Dutch and Professional proficiency in English Willingness to travel within the assigned geography Knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, industrial networks, control system architectures, and industrial software Understand customer requirements and translate them into technical architectures and solution recommendations Communication and presentation skills Engage with both technical and partners Work collaboratively with sales, partners, customers, and internal technical teams Practical experience with industrial IoT architectures, edge computing, and cloud-connected manufacturing solutions Exposure to Docker, containers, Linux, APIs, scripting, or modern software deployment concepts Exposure to Agentic AI, AI-assisted workflows, automation copilots, LLM-based tools, or knowledge-driven applications The Preferred - You Might Also Have: Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. Relevant experience (2+ years) in industrial automation, control systems, software, or industrial digital technologies.
