In this role you will get to work alongside hardware and software engineers developing ground-based directed energy systems. What You'll Be Doing: Develop software that supports ground-based directed energy systems, working alongside experienced software and hardware engineers. Collaborate with hardware engineers, technicians, and field support representatives to understand requirements and solve technical challenges. Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, code reviews, and other team activities. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using software engineering best practices. Test and debug software, investigate issues, and help improve reliability and performance. Learn the team's development tools and workflows while contributing to hands-on engineering projects. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Pursuing a degree in one of the following disciplines: computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or software engineering. Major GPA greater than 3.0. Must be a US citizen. Ability to work well in a team as well as independently. Experience with one or more programming languages (C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Rust, etc...). The desire to learn in a hands-on environment. What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Experience with software version control tools, preferably git. Experience working in an agile environment. An understanding of object-oriented design principles and applying them to develop reliable and maintainable software.
