About The Role

This is a new role, created due to substantial expansion with major acquisitions completed in 2026.  As a Corporate Accountant, your main goal will be to ensure the timely and accurate execution of financial reporting and compliance for our organisation. You’ll report directly to the Senior Corporate Accountant and work closely with fellow Corporate Accountants, creating an engaging and collaborative work environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Key part of the Sustainability reporting, including gathering and analysing data
  • Responsibility for group lease accounting, including preparation and reconciliation
  • Responsibility for preparation of deferred revenue recognition and analysis
  • Assist in preparation of Purchase Price Accounting for new acquisitions and integration to the JB group
  • Processing stocktake adjustments and completing monthly inventory reconciliation
  • Prepare and maintain borrowings and leases accounting schedules under IFRS/AABS
  • Assist in technical accounting and tax matters (including but not limited to acquisition/purchase price accounting, goodwill and impairment testing, interest and fuel hedging, income tax, tax grouping and tax governance)
  • Assist in the annual audit process
  • Other appropriate tasks as required within the scope of corporate finance

About You

You are a driven and enthusiastic individual who embraces challenges, takes initiative and enjoys making a meaningful contribution in a fast-paced, evolving environment. As this is a newly created role resulted from a significant growth, you will have the opportunity to shape the position and make it your own.

You will hold a formal degree in Accounting and ideally be a Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA or currently working towards your professional qualification. With 3–4 years of practical accounting experience, you will have a solid understanding of financial reporting, month-end processes, technical accounting including borrowings, lease accounting and tax matters, ideally gained within a large corporate environment. This opportunity is well suited to a first-time mover from professional practice, particularly candidates from Big 4 or mid-tier firms looking to transition into a corporate finance role and broaden their exposure across financial reporting, business integration and strategic finance projects.

Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to collaborate effectively within teams, and your keen eye for detail, along with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, will allow you to present financial data clearly and effectively. Exceptional time management skills will support your ability to meet deadlines, while a continuous improvement mindset will drive you to seek efficiencies in processes. Furthermore, your strong foundation in IFRS accounting will be invaluable, equipping you to contribute to our team's success and support our financial objectives as you tackle the challenges of the role.
