Job Description Summary The China FP&A Manager will provide high-quality financial planning, performance analysis, and decision support for the China business. Reporting to the China FP&A Director, this role will support forecasting, closing, management reporting, and business reviews, translating complex financial and operational data into clear insights and actionable recommendations. This is a hands-on individual contributor role requiring strong FP&A expertise, business acumen, and effective stakeholder partnership. Job Description Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Planning and Forecasting Support annual budgeting, long-term planning, and periodic forecasting for the China business. Consolidate financial inputs across business lines and functions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely submission. Develop and maintain financial models for revenue, margin, overall P&L, and key performance drivers. Analyze actuals versus budget, forecast, and prior year, identifying key variances and underlying business drivers. Partner with stakeholders to assess risks and opportunities and perform scenario and sensitivity analysis for key decisions. 2. Management Reporting and Performance Analysis Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting, including P&L, KPIs, trends, and variance analysis. Deliver timely, accurate analysis for China management, Finance leadership, and business stakeholders. Assess performance across business lines, regions, products, and customers using financial, commercial, and operational data. Identify emerging trends, performance gaps, risks, and opportunities through proactive analysis. Translate complex data into concise insights, clear business implications, and actionable recommendations for different audiences. 3. Business Review and Decision Support Support monthly operating reviews with financial analysis, management materials, and clear performance messages. Partner with business stakeholders to understand drivers of orders, revenue, pricing, volume and mix, margin, and operating expenses. Identify root causes of performance gaps and support the development and tracking of corrective actions. Evaluate the financial impact of commercial and operational initiatives, including pricing, productivity, and resource allocation. Provide objective challenge, scenario analysis, and ad hoc support for business cases and management decisions. 4. Data Analytics and Reporting Improvement Analyze large, complex datasets from multiple systems to generate reliable financial and business insights. Maintain and enhance standardized reporting templates, analytical models, and performance dashboards. Use advanced Excel, Power BI, and Power Query to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy, and usability. Validate and reconcile financial and operational data, partnering with stakeholders to improve data quality and transparency. Simplify, standardize, and automate recurring reports and analytical processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Statistics, or a related discipline. Typically 10 or more years of relevant experience in FP&A, financial analysis, commercial finance, or a related Finance role. Solid knowledge of financial statements, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling. Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel and experience working with complex datasets to generate business insights. Strong English and Chinese communication skills, with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver under tight timelines. Preferred Qualifications Experience as a Finance Business Partner or in a business-facing FP&A role within a multinational or matrixed organization. Familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, ERP, and enterprise planning or reporting systems. Experience analyzing commercial and operational drivers, including orders, sales, pricing, volume and mix, margin, and productivity. CPA, CMA, ACCA, or another relevant qualification; healthcare, medical technology, industrial, or other project- and product-driven industry experience is an advantage.
