DUTIES: • Provide supervision and guidance to Unit Caseworkers in the successful performance of unit management operations. • Monitor inmate behavior and maintain order within housing units, addressing issues as needed. • Guide and counsel inmates on rules, treatment plans, and rehabilitation programs, including crisis intervention and parole planning. • Coordinate and document inmate background information and referrals for appropriate medical, mental health, educational, and vocational services. • Facilitate non-clinical programming for assigned incarcerated population. Requirements / Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, behavioral sciences, human services or related field OR Associate’s degree in criminal justice, behavioral sciences, human services or related field plus two years of corrections experience; OR four years of corrections experience. Legal Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. No felony or domestic abuse related convictions. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supervising/leading teammates Experience managing a caseload At least one year of experience in a correctional setting Experience as a guest instructor, facilitating programs or public speaking Other: Candidates will be required to successfully complete facilitator training and instruct non-clinical programming. Valid driver's license. Transcripts required prior to appointment.
