Cook - Lakewood Food Services (6:00am - 2:30pm) 101 Truman Medical Center Job Location UH Lakewood Medical Center Kansas City, Missouri Department Food Service UHLMC Position Type Full time Work Schedule 6:00AM - 2:30PM Hours Per Week 40 Job Description Following recipes prepares food for patients/residents. Employees, cafeteria patrons and medical staff. Works under direct supervision. Minimum Requirements High School diploma or equivalent GED effective August1, 2019 Good interpersonal skills required to meet and service the public. Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to speak and read the English language Maintain a Food Handler’s Card. Must be able to follow a recipe, use scales, and operate large kitchen equipment. Must be able to blend twist, stoop, push and lift large containers of hot food. Preferred Qualifications One-year experience in preparation of large quantities of food using standardized recipes. Working at University Health is about making a difference.
