Lead DevSecOps Security Engineer or Senior Manager, Information Security Engineering

Sportradar · Trondheim, Norway

The role embeds security into software development, CI/CD pipelines, vulnerability management, and cloud-native environments at Sportradar. It can be taken as a hands-on technical lead or as a team-leading security engineering manager, with AWS and Kubernetes among the named technologies.

Tech stack: AWS, Kubernetes, GCP, GitLab Ultimate, CI/CD

About the role

THE CHALLENGE

  • Make security a normal part of how our engineers build software, from secure design and threat modelling to security reviews.

  • Put the right security checks into CI/CD: SAST, DAST, software composition analysis, infrastructure-as-code scanning and supply chain security.

  • Work with Platform Engineering to secure our cloud and Kubernetes environments.

  • Run vulnerability management based on risk, from deciding what matters most to seeing the fix shipped.

  • Help engineering teams build securely without slowing them down, including when they work with AI coding tools.

  • Be the person engineers come to with security questions, and give them answers they can act on.

Lead DevSecOps Security Engineer

  • Stay hands-on, and set the technical standard the rest of the team follows.

Senior Manager, Information Security Engineering

  • Lead the team: strategy, roadmap, hiring and performance, while staying close to the technical work.

  • Be a trusted voice with engineering and technology leaders.

ABOUT YOU

You like security best when it helps people ship good software, not when it gets in their way. You are happy working next to engineers, explaining the "why" and then rolling up your sleeves to fix things with them. You keep learning, and you care about getting things done in a global company.

  • Experience in DevSecOps, security engineering, application security or cloud security.

  • Good knowledge of CI/CD and modern development practice.

  • Experience securing cloud-native environments, preferably AWS, and working with Kubernetes and containers.

  • A solid grasp of vulnerability management and the OWASP Top 10.

  • A track record of working with engineering teams as an adviser and enabler.

  • Clear, confident communication in fluent English.

  • For the Senior Manager route: experience leading engineers, setting direction, running hiring and managing performance.

  • Nice to have: CSPM or KSPM tooling, AWS and GCP security, GitLab Ultimate, infrastructure as code, large enterprise experience, security certifications.

In your application, add a few lines on which route suits you better and why: Lead DevSecOps Engineer, or Senior Manager (leading a team while staying hands-on). If you are open to either, say so.

OUR OFFER

  • A collaborative environment with colleagues from all over the world (Engineering offices in Europe, Asia and US) including various social events and teambuilding.

  • Flexibility to manage your workday and tasks with autonomy.

  • A balance of structure and autonomy to tackle your daily tasks.

  • Vibrant and inclusive community, including Women in Tech and Pride groups which welcome all participants.

  • Global Employee Assistance Programme.

  • Calm and Reulay app (leading well-being apps designed to support focus, quality rest, mindfulness, and long-term mental resilience).

  • Online training videos.

  • Flexible working hours.

While we appreciate the flexibility and benefits of working from home, we strongly believe that coming together in person fosters stronger connections, encourages collaboration, and drives innovation - both as individuals and as a company. The energy, shared ideas, and team support we experience in the office strengthen the foundation of our success and culture. For this reason, we are an office-first business operating on a hybrid model, with team members working in the office five days a week to build relationships, exchange ideas, and grow together. If needed, there is a option for home office days.

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS

  • Initial Screening: A quick chat with our Talent Acquisition Partner to understand your background and expectations.

  • Two technical interviews: Meet with the Technical team and Hiring Manager to dive into your solution and your expertise, as well as discuss team fit.

  • Final Steps: Receive feedback and, if successful, an offer!

  • We keep it simple and aim to wrap up the process within 3 weeks.
